Electronics Technician - Tucson, AZ
Job Summary The Electronic Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, installing, and maintaining electronic systems and equipment in a timely and accurate manner in support of client's operational goals. This role requires hands-on technical work, strong troubleshooting skills, the ability to interpret schematics/manuals, and ensuring that all work meets quality, safety, and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities Troubleshoot and repair electronic assemblies, circuit boards, and modules. Perform preventive maintenance and calibration of electronic equipment. Install new equipment and components according to technical drawings, manufacturer's instructions, and safety standards. Inspect, test, and repair wiring harnesses, connectors, sensors, switches, displays, and other electronic subassemblies. Read, interpret, and work from circuit diagrams, blueprints, service manuals, and schematics. Use test instruments (e.g. multimeters, oscilloscopes, signal generators, power supplies) to diagnose issues. Solder and de-solder components, both surface mount and through-hole, as required. Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, maintenance performed, and report progress or roadblocks to lead/supervisor. Collaborate with engineering, quality assurance, and production teams to resolve recurring problems, suggest improvements, and support product testing. Adhere to all safety protocols, including ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) protection, proper handling of hazardous materials, lockout/tagout procedures, etc. Maintain inventory of spare parts, components, and tools; order replacements when needed.
