JOB SUMMARY The Manufacturing Technician is responsible for manufacturing products according to established protocols and performing operations in support of the group, department, and company. This role requires operating processing equipment, maintaining accurate documentation, and adhering to safety regulations within a production environment. NOTE: This is NOT a warehouse position. JOB DESCRIPTION We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced ServiceNow CMDB (Configuration Management Database) Specialist for a temporary 6-month position. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing the CMDB within the ServiceNow platform. This role requires expertise in ServiceNow Discovery, CMDB & CSDM, network fundamentals, operating systems, compute environments, and scripting/programming. The candidate will ensure accurate and reliable configuration data is available to support business operations during this critical project period. Key Responsibilities: CMDB Management: Implement, configure, and maintain the ServiceNow CMDB to ensure data accuracy and integrity with design guidance and collaboration with the infrastructure operations team and the ServiceNow tool owner. Develop and enforce CMDB policies, business rules, standards, and procedures. Perform regular audits and reconciliation of CMDB data to ensure compliance with organizational standards. ServiceNow Discovery: Set up discovery schedules, probes, and sensors. Suggest and reconcile best-use data sources for discovery. Configure and manage mid-servers and credentials in ServiceNow. Understand discovery patterns and create new patterns as needed. CMDB & CSDM: Manage CI classes and create relationships within the CMDB. Understand the structure of the CMDB and its alignment with the Common Services Data Model (CSDM). Suggest and develop automated processes to remove/retire stale CMDB data and relationships. Network Fundamentals: Apply knowledge of IP addresses, protocols, firewalls, and ports to support CMDB and discovery processes. Operating Systems & Compute Environments: Understand Windows/Linux administration and common services like DNS, DHCP, and Active Directory (AD) and how these services interoperate within the ServiceNow environment.
