As an Engineering Process Specialist, you will be the co-owner of process with the process engineer for assigned assets or lines. Responsible for daily troubleshooting and developing good run settings. Job Description Provide "expert level" machine knowledge on the manufacturing process with the ability to positively impact machine performance. Align the process to efficiently produce high quality products after upsets occur. Main contact for problem escalation in the BU for operators, mechanics, and control techs. Ensure machines are able of producing products that meet quality standards. Analyze causes of waste in raw materials, production and time management, and initiate procedures to resolve these issues. Perform necessary machine repairs and equipment setup as needed. Train all levels of manufacturing personnel on the complete manufacturing and troubleshooting process. Provide leadership during machine changeovers, preventative maintenance activities Minimum Qualifications: Education High school diploma or equivalent. Relevant Work Experience At least 5 years of production experience. Additional Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs and other techniques for maximizing effective manufacture. Understanding of how the mechanical systems interact with the production process and a basic understanding of electrical systems to maximize the manufacturing of the product. Ability to work overtime and be "on-call" with minimal notification. Knowledge of the manufacturing processes and associated equipment, including ancillary support equipment required for production. Preferred Qualification Education Trade school education, certification, or professional training. 3-5 years experience (each) as an operator and maintenance mechanic. Effectively and efficiently perform preventive maintenance inspections. Complete all Repair Orders in a timely manner ensuring all labor and parts are charged to the appropriate unit. Attend all company-training classes, then retain and demonstrate what was instructed. Responsible for the cleanliness of the work area. Performs additional duties and special projects as needed. Return all unused parts to the parts room. Other duties as assigned. ABILITIES/SKILLS REQUIRED: Must possess mechanical skills and aptitude for the position. Capture and inspect all equipment at respective terminals during yard checks and monitoring. 5. Ensure all company, EPA and Safety policies are compiled to meet local, state and federal standards. 6. Accountable for all direct and indirect labor hours on a daily and weekly basis. 7. Completes all repair orders in a timely manner, ensuring all labor and parts are charged to the appropriate unit. 8. Return all unused parts to the parts room and does not abuse company tools. 10. Responsible for the cleanliness of work area, keeping spills, grease and debris to a minimum. 11. Ability to coach and communicate effectively with shop and driving staff. 12.
