We specialize in the renovation and management of multifamily apartment communities throughout the Midwest and Southeastern United States. Our work focuses on revitalizing properties through thoughtful, high-quality construction—done the right way, every time. The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Construction Carpenter to join our Construction team as we continue renovation work across our portfolio. Execute work with precision and consistency, following established plans, scopes, and quality standards. Safely operate hand tools, power tools, saws, and measurement equipment. Complete assigned tasks independently while collaborating with the broader construction crew. Maintain clean, organized job sites and ensure tools and equipment are kept in good working condition. Support other crews or projects as needed based on schedule and workload. Follow safety protocols at all times and contribute to a jobsite culture focused on doing things right. Who We’re Looking For 5 years of hands-on construction or carpentry experience. Strong technical carpentry skills with the ability to consistently deliver high-quality work. Comfortable working from plans, scopes, and direction without needing to lead others. Detail-oriented, dependable, and steady in performance. Safety-minded with a strong understanding of proper jobsite practices. Able to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment. Reliable attendance and the ability to travel between properties within the Jackson metropolitan area. Valid driver’s license and ability to get to and from job sites consistently. Physically able to perform job duties, including lifting up to 80 lbs and working in varying weather conditions. Willingness to learn and use company programs and apps on provided smart devices. What We Offer Competitive hourly pay based on skill level and experience (starting around $22/hour, per our skill-based Career Path Table). Health, dental, and vision insurance eligibility after the introductory period. 401(k) retirement plan with 100% company match up to 4% after eligibility. Paid holidays after 60 days of employment. Vacation pay eligibility after the introductory period. OSHA 10-hour training and additional certification opportunities. A consistent, year-round workload with a standard 5-day work week and occasional overtime. A respectful team environment where quality work is recognized and appreciated. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of background screening and other applicable checks, as permitted by state law. Core Values We expect every team member to live out our values in their daily work: Community: Respect our residents, teammates, and the communities we serve. Integrity: Do what you say you will do, when you say you will do it. Quality: Take pride in your craft and deliver work that lasts. If you are a skilled carpenter who values stability, structure, and producing quality work as part of a dedicated construction team, we encourage you to apply and grow with KH Properties.
