Assistant Warehouse Manager NU Packaging, Inc. | Salt Lake City, UT (906 S 4400 W, SLC, UT 84104) Full-Time | Non-Exempt | MondayFriday, 8:00 AM4:00 PM The Opportunity NU Packaging is hiring an Assistant Warehouse Manager to support our Warehouse Manager in running the day-to-day heartbeat of our operation receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives on keeping a fast-paced warehouse organized, safe, and productive, and who wants real influence over inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, and team performance. Ownership over inventory operations partner directly with the Warehouse Manager and Purchasing to maintain optimal stock levels, run cycle counts, and resolve discrepancies before they become problems. Direct line to results oversee order fulfillment end-to-end, ensuring Utah businesses get accurate, on-time shipments that keep our next-day delivery reputation intact. What You'll Do Assist in planning, scheduling, and directing all warehouse activities (receiving, storage, picking, packing, shipping) Oversee and delegate tasks to warehouse personnel while leading safety protocols and company procedures Lead and motivate the team to hit daily, weekly, and monthly performance and quality targets Maintain optimal inventory levels of packaging supplies and maximize storage space utilization Conduct/participate in periodic cycle counts and investigate discrepancies promptly Oversee accurate, efficient, and timely order fulfillment, prioritizing based on urgency and delivery deadlines Proactively resolve fulfillment issues (stock shortages, backorders) with customer service and sales Enforce safety regulations, conduct regular safety inspections, and train staff on safety protocols and equipment operation Maintain a clean, organized, and secure warehouse environment Prepare and communicate accurate warehouse activity reports (inventory levels, fulfillment times) What You Bring High school diploma required Strong attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving skills Customer/vendor-focused mindset and solid analytical and technical proficiency Comfort with data entry and digital tools Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. and work effectively in a fast-paced, loud warehouse environment Regular and predictable attendance Benefits We Invest in You and Your Family NU Packaging offers a comprehensive benefits package designed to support you and the people who matter most to you: Employer contributions toward your health plan we help offset the cost of you and your familys medical coverage Dental and vision coverage for you and your family protecting the whole household, not just the employee Term life insurance built-in financial protection and peace of mind Ready to Join Our Team?
