KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Assesses patient's clinical status, evaluates progress toward goals, and recommends courses of action to determine a plan of care Plans for the patient’s respiratory care needs in collaboration with other members of the care team to provide the highest quality of clinical outcomes Safely performs various diagnostic and therapeutic procedures according to established standards, procedural guidelines and policies to provide safe patient care Analyzes critical situations and applies appropriate judgment and critical thinking to achieve problem resolution Accurately and reliably interprets and communicates patient results to support patient care Document interventions performed and responses to therapies in the electronic medical record to result in compliant and useful documentation Interacts with and explains therapeutic modalities to patients, families,s and the interdisciplinary team in an understandable manner based on learning styles and individual diversity to ensure collaborative care coordination Effectively works in a team-based environment especially during stressful situations involving quickly changing priorities to achieve the highest quality of patient outcomes.
