Full benefits health dental vision PTO Annual bonus Job Details Job Details: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Project Accountant to join our Accounting and Finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for project accounting functions, including but not limited to, project financial management, cost control, and project revenue recognition. This role will require a strong understanding of project accounting principles and a solid knowledge of the construction industry. The successful candidate will be a key player in ensuring the financial success of our projects and will work closely with project managers, finance team, and senior management. This is a full-time, permanent position that requires 5 years of experience in project accounting. Responsibilities: 1. Oversee all project accounting operations, including project cost accounting, revenue recognition, and project financial reporting. 2. Manage project-related records, including contracts, change orders, pay applications, lien waivers, and AIA billings and invoicing. 3. Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes. 4. Reconcile project-related general ledger (GL) accounts, identifying and resolving any discrepancies. 5. Utilize project accounting software (Sage, Timberline, Vista Viewpoint) to maintain accurate project financial data. 6. Prepare and submit AIA G702 & G703 forms for project billing. 7. Work closely with project managers to understand project budget, actual costs, and forecasted costs. 8. Provide financial analysis and reports to management to aid in project decision-making. 9. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures. 10. Assist with internal and external audits related to projects. Qualifications: 1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in project accounting, preferably within the construction industry. 3. Proficiency in project accounting software, including Sage, Timberline, and Vista Viewpoint. 4. Strong knowledge of AIA G702, G703 forms, and AIA billing and invoicing. 5. Excellent understanding of project financial management, including project cost control and revenue recognition. 6. Experience with year-end close processes and general ledger reconciliation. 7. Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze project financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections. 8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization. 9. Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. 10. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating a high level of initiative and flexibility. 11. Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA, CGMA) is a plus.
