Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: Occupational Therapist \n Discipline: Therapy \n Start Date: 10/12/2026 \n Duration: 13 weeks \n 40 hours per week \n Shift: 8 hours, days \n Employment Type: Travel \n \n \n Candidates residing within 50–100 miles of the facility may be subject to a reduced rate or may not be accepted. \n Applicants must have worked in this unit or setting within the past year to be considered for this position. \n \n Job Title\n Occupational Therapist (OT) Location\n Santa Cruz, CA | Inpatient / Acute Care Schedule / Job Type\n Contract | Days | 8-hour shifts, start times vary between 6:30 AM and later in the day with a 30-minute lunch break | Schedule determined by staffing captain | Every other Saturday or Sunday required (2 weekend days per 4-week schedule); a weekday off is provided during weeks that include a weekend shift | Holiday coverage determined by sign-up sheet Key Responsibilities\n \n Provide inpatient occupational therapy services across hospital units, including acute care and acute rehabilitation settings \n Treat a diverse patient population including spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injury (TBI), stroke, cardiac rehab, and orthopedic conditions \n Float between hospital units and to the acute rehab unit as needed \n Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including physicians, rehab aides, and other therapy disciplines (PT and Speech) \n Maintain BLS certification and document patient care using Cerner EMR \n Participate in a 1-day hospital orientation followed by 2–3 days of unit-specific orientation \n Required Qualifications\n \n Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license in the state of California (or eligible) \n Minimum 2 years of acute care experience required \n BLS certification required \n Experience with orthopedic, neurological, and cardiac patient populations \n Proficiency or ability to learn Cerner EMR \n Preferred Experience / Skills\n \n 3–5 years of overall occupational therapy experience preferred \n ICU experience preferred \n Experience in outpatient or home health settings preferred \n Experience with physical disabilities preferred \n Spanish-speaking candidates preferred \n Why Join Us\n \n Work in a well-supported inpatient rehab environment with a manager available 7 days a week and robust ancillary support including 24/7 respiratory therapy and pharmacy \n Gain exposure to a broad and clinically diverse patient population in an active acute care and rehabilitation setting \n \n \n \n Concentric Healthcare Staffing Job ID 780468.
