The position includes medical student and ophthalmology resident teaching responsibilities in the Department of Ophthalmology. Clinical research is encouraged but not required. Led by Rhinology-trained surgeons Dr. Fong and Dr. Vaughan, our group is expanding to meet high patient demand in our Atherton and Sonoma locations. Key Responsibilities: Comprehensive ENT Care: Provide full-scope care for patients of all ages, including pediatric cases (tubes, tonsils, adenoids) and general head & neck, sinus, and ear pathology. Surgical Management: Access to ample block time at the Waverly Surgery Center (4 ORs) in Palo Alto and El Camino Community Hospital (Main OR and Surgery Center). Support Suite: Work with a dedicated team including MAs and Scribes who handle prescription prep, inbox tasks, and prior authorizations. Call Coverage: No Hospital Call. Physicians cover after-hours calls for their own patients only. Due to high surgical outcomes, calls are rare and typically involve minor pharmacy requests.
