Job Title: CNC Toolmaker Location: Bethel, CT Pay Range: $30.00 - $40.00/hour Reports To: Value Stream Manager Summary Support the manufacturing and engineering departments by producing various production and prototype components, fixtures, and tools. Responsibilities Machine complex tooling and fixtures in collaboration with Manufacturing and Design Engineering teams. Create and proof CNC programs using Proto-Trak. Set up and operate manual machine shop equipment, including mills, lathes, drill presses, shears, and saws. Set up and run CNC lathes (2 axis) and mills (2 axis) in both prototype and production environments. Set up and operate surface grinding machines. Develop, fabricate, and sharpen various cutting and specialty tools. Inspect GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) features using basic and advanced inspection techniques. Cut open units to complete production operations. Assist shop management in training employees on common machine shop practices and company-specific processes and procedures. Perform all other duties as assigned. Qualifications Required: High mechanical aptitude. Proficiency in trigonometry. Working knowledge of computers. Understanding of chip formation mechanics and metal cutting. Knowledge of ANSI/EIA RS – 274 (“G” code NC programs). High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution. 5 years of experience in the trade as a tool maker. Experience or formal education in design/drafting with an emphasis on CAD. As an established general contractor in the construction industry, we prioritize financial accuracy, strategic planning, and effective communication. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecast preparation, as well as the development of internal control policies and procedures. Responsibilities: As a Controller, you will be expected to: 1. Oversee all company accounting practices, including accounting departments, preparing budgets, financial reports, tax and audit functions. 2. Direct financial strategy, planning and forecasts; conferring with President, COO and CFO concerning strategic planning. 3. Review and analyze monthly financial results and provide recommendations. 4. Identify, develop and execute analysis of business initiatives, product launches and/or new service offerings. 5. Manage and monitor all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements. 6. Maintain internal control safeguards for the receipt of revenue, costs and both team and organizational budgets and actual expenditures. 7. Coordinate all audit activity. 8. Consistently analyze financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; monitor progress and changes and keep senior leadership abreast of the organization’s financial status. 9. Assist the organization's leadership in the annual budgeting and planning process; administer and review all financial plans and compare to actual results with a view to identify, explain, and correct variances as appropriate. Qualifications: The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications: 1. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related discipline. CPA or MBA preferred. 2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior finance role, preferably within the construction industry. 3. Experience with Sage 300 software 4. Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods. 5. Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software (e.g. SAP). 6. Ability to strategize and solve problems. 7. Strong leadership and organizational skills. 8. Excellent communication and people skills. 9. An analytical mind, comfortable with numbers. *Daily production of awarding of runs to Drivers. *Daily review of Driver DOT trip reports, editing and creating reports *Monitoring Drivers DOT Hours of Service and available hours. *Communicating with Drivers on Dispatch instructions and changes. *Coordinating with DC Leads appointments and trailer requirements. *Responsible for load allocation utilizing the WMS (Red Prairie) *Responsible for the troubleshooting of any order *Daily communication with Drivers to review service needs and requirements. *Communication with Local carriers to secure outside run coverage as necessary. *Ensure all inbound and outbound loads are delivered on time. *Communicating with Warehouse Leads on load status. *Consistent and effective communication by email and telephone. *Tracking and maintaining trailer and tractor inventory. *Previous administrative experience. *General knowledge of both Department of Transportation regulations and Hours of Service. *Logistic or Transportation experience. *Previous experience using computer systems and Microsoft Office. *All other duties as assigned by Resource. *Coordinate with customer logistics and traffic to achieve customer service targets by reducing cuts and carrier wait times not to incur detention charges and achieve LSC metric to ensure RAD is met at the customer. *Develop a sense of urgency on the shift by working with maintenance and all employees to reduce system, operational and mechanical downtime and minor stops. *Team player by working closely with the in-coming and out-going shifts by providing solid handoffs and communications to ensure each shift in the operation is successful. *Provide coverage to fill in for operations staff on all 3 shifts and when weekend work is needed. *Ability to effectively communicate with customers, drivers and dispatchers in a professional and constructive manner. *Strong passion for customer service and logistics excellence *Ability to learn and update brokerage transportation management system *Ability to effectively interact and build a favorable business relationship with all carriers and customers *Willing and able to assist with load coverage and account management duties
