Key Responsibilities\n As a Mental Health Therapist at Family Matters Care Consultants, you will carry out various critical functions, including but not limited to: \n \n Conducting trauma-informed mental health assessments to assess patients' trauma histories, using a collaborative approach to gauge their needs and strengths. \n Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery and resilience, adjusting these plans as necessary based on patient progress. \n Delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to enhance patient coping strategies. \n Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients process their trauma, develop healthy coping mechanisms, and promote emotional healing. \n Collaborating with psychiatrists and a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless integration of care tailored to each patient’s specific needs. \n Providing crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring that patients receive immediate and appropriate care. \n Educating patients and their families about trauma responses, effective coping mechanisms, and the resources available to them. \n Maintaining accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with all legal and ethical standards, as well as organizational policies. \n Participating in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development activities to continuously improve skills and knowledge related to trauma-informed care. \n Staying updated with the most recent research and best practices in trauma therapy to enhance your clinical skills and the quality of care provided. \n Patient Population / Client Focus\n This role is specifically focused on assisting individuals affected by trauma. You will work with diverse populations, including adults who have experienced various forms of trauma, such as emotional, physical, and psychological distress. Your expertise will be pivotal in creating customized interventions that address the unique needs of each patient while supporting their healing journey. Qualifications\n To be considered for this role, candidates must hold: \n \n A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution. \n Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York. \n Demonstrated knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities, along with a solid background in resilience-building approaches. \n Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and familiarity with computer applications to ensure efficient documentation and communication. \n Preferred Experience\n We prefer candidates with at least two years of experience post-licensure. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in providing trauma-focused therapies and interventions, showcasing excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a compassionate, non-judgmental approach to patient care. The ability to remain calm under pressure and work collaboratively as a vital member of a multidisciplinary team is essential. Compensation and Benefits\n The salary range for this position is between USD 90,000 and 110,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
