Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: Medical Lab Scientist \n Discipline: Allied Health Professional \n Duration: 15 weeks \n 36 hours per week \n Shift: 12 hours, days, nights \n Employment Type: Travel \n \n \n Pride Health is hiring a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) to support our client’s medical facility in Grand Rapids, MI 49503. \n \n This is a 13-week travel contract opportunity offering competitive weekly pay and consistent day shift hours. \n \n Job Title: Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) \n Location: Grand Rapids, MI , Troy MI, \n Contract Length: 13 Weeks \n Shift: Eastern 2:30 pm to 11 pm or First Shift or Nigth Shift \n Hours: 40 hrs/week \n Pay Rate: $2200/Week Gross \n \n Key Responsibilities: \n \n Perform specimen handling, processing, and laboratory testing procedures accurately \n Analyze specimens using approved laboratory testing methods and SOPs \n Review, verify, and release patient test results \n Maintain testing records, QC documentation, calibrations, and maintenance logs \n Follow CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and laboratory safety standards \n Perform quality control and ensure compliance with QA procedures \n Identify testing issues and troubleshoot or escalate concerns appropriately \n Report STAT and critical results according to department procedures \n Maintain complete and accurate laboratory records \n Ensure reagents and test kits are properly labeled and within expiration dates \n Participate in training, departmental meetings, and safety programs \n Support regulatory inspections and additional departmental duties as assigned \n \n \n Required Qualifications: \n \n BS in Medical Technology preferred, or BS/BA in Chemistry or Biology, or Associate degree in Laboratory Science/Medical Technology \n ASCP or AMT certification preferred or eligibility required \n Minimum 1 year of clinical laboratory experience in high-complexity testing preferred \n Strong knowledge of QC/QA procedures and laboratory operations \n Experience working with multiple computer systems and laboratory software \n Ability to multitask and prioritize efficiently in a fast-paced setting \n Strong communication and customer service skills \n Commitment to patient confidentiality and laboratory compliance standards \n Experience in Core Lab rotations including Hematology, Coagulation, and Urinalysis preferred \n \n \n Pride-Health offers eligible employee’s comprehensive healthcare coverage (medical, dental, and vision plans), supplemental coverage (accident insurance, critical illness insurance and hospital indemnity), 401(k)-retirement savings, life & disability insurance, an employee assistance program, legal support, auto, home insurance, pet insurance and employee discounts with preferred vendors. \n \n Equal Employment Opportunity \n Pride-Health is an equal opportunity employer.
