Key Responsibilities\n \n Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations through preliminary interviews, assessing clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health. \n Develop personalized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based interventions tailored to individual, couple, family, and group therapy contexts. \n Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, creating a safe and supportive environment where clients can express and explore their feelings. \n Regularly monitor and document client progress throughout the treatment process, adjusting care plans as necessary to meet evolving needs. \n Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, primary care physicians, and social workers, to address the holistic needs of clients and provide integrated care. \n Assist family members and caregivers in understanding and managing mental health challenges, promoting a supportive home environment. \n Provide appropriate referrals for clients when necessary, ensuring they receive comprehensive support tailored to their individual circumstances. \n Stay informed on the latest advancements in psychotherapy practices and actively participate in ongoing training sessions. \n Patient Population / Client Focus\n You will be working with a diverse range of clients grappling with various mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, and substance use disorders. Our clinic serves individuals from all walks of life, emphasizing a client-centered approach that respects each person’s unique experiences and needs. Qualifications\n \n A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution. \n Active licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York. \n Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE). \n Previous experience in mental health counseling, demonstrating effective therapeutic techniques and strong interpersonal skills. \n Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, to maintain accurate client documentation and treatment records. \n Solid understanding of both physical and psychological health conditions and their interplay with addiction issues. \n Preferred Experience\n \n Experience working collaboratively within interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care outcomes. \n Familiarity with the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices. \n Knowledge of psychopharmacology and the impacts of medications prescribed by medical professionals. \n Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and empathetically. \n A compassionate and understanding approach to counseling that fosters trust and rapport with clients. \n Compensation and Benefits\n We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $100,000 annually, complemented by a sign-on bonus.
