Job Description Job Description Desk Side Support Specialist (Level 2–3) Contract | 6 Months | Oklahoma City, OK Industry: Oil & Gas iSphere is seeking a highly motivated, self-sufficient Level 2–3 Desk Side Support Specialist to support an oil and gas organization on a 6 month contract in Oklahoma City. This position requires strong technical knowledge, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently in remote field environments while also collaborating with IT teams in the corporate office. Key Responsibilities Provide Level 2 and Level 3 desk-side and remote technical support to end users via phone, email, and in person. Diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, and network-related issues. Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, peripherals, routers, switches, wireless equipment, and related infrastructure. Support Cisco networking equipment, with primary emphasis on Meraki technologies. Perform onsite IT support at remote oil field locations and drilling sites, often working independently without onsite IT resources. Install, troubleshoot, and maintain network connectivity, including assisting with cable installation and infrastructure upgrades. Administer user accounts, password resets, and access permissions. Document incidents, resolutions, and field service activities. Participate in an on-call rotation. Collaborate effectively with centralized IT teams while exercising sound independent judgment in the field. Required Qualifications Experience providing Level 2 or Level 3 desktop support. Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365. Solid understanding of networking concepts, including routers, switches, wireless networking, and TCP/IP. Experience supporting Cisco networking equipment, preferably Meraki. Experience supporting users in remote, industrial, manufacturing, energy, or field-based environments. Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Preferred Qualifications Oil & Gas industry experience. CompTIA A, Network, Cisco, Microsoft, or equivalent certifications. Experience supporting remote facilities or industrial operations. Travel Requirements Approximately 10% regional travel throughout Oklahoma with occasional travel within the continental United States. Travel includes visits to remote oil field locations and drilling sites in isolated areas. Work Environment & Physical Requirements This position requires work in both a traditional office environment and remote industrial field locations. Essential job functions include: Frequently walking over uneven terrain at industrial and energy production sites. Climbing ladders and accessing elevated work areas. Reaching overhead to install, remove, or troubleshoot network and communications equipment. Pulling, routing, and securing network cabling. Lifting and carrying IT equipment weighing up to approximately 40 pounds. Standing, bending, kneeling, crouching, and working in confined spaces as needed during equipment installations and repairs. Working independently at remote locations where immediate onsite technical assistance may not be available. Safely working around industrial equipment while following all company and site-specific safety procedures.
