Position Title PRN Behavioral Health Therapist Marillac Campus Position Summary / Career Interest: The PRN Behavioral Health Therapist provides professional therapy services, including individual, group, and family therapies. This position collects and evaluates a patient's biopsychosocial history and consults with the multidisciplinary team and patient/family throughout the hospitalization. The Behavioral Health Therapist develops treatment plans and monitors patient's progress toward treatment goals. Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions Assesses patient's problems by collecting and evaluating a detailed biopsychosocial history and consulting with the multidisciplinary team and patient/family throughout the hospitalization. Develops patient treatment plan by establishing treatment goals and objectives with the patent/family and through consultation with the multidisciplinary treatment team. Facilitates the implementation of the treatment plan utilizing appropriate treatment methodologies. Schedules and completes individual, group, and/or family therapy daily. Monitors the patient's progress toward treatment goals. Assures quality service for patients by enforcing rules, regulations, and legal requirements with patients including timely, confidential documentation of significant events and clinical interactions in the electronic health record. Maintains health system credibility by establishing working relationships with sponsoring, advisory, and related service agencies. Promotes the health system by ensuring an understanding of program services available for patients; publicizes activities and accomplishments. Provides a clinical experience for interns by negotiating learning objectives; supervises practice and caseload management, teaching theory and its application; evaluates skills and personal and professional growth, ensuring identification with the profession. Maintains current licensure and practices within the scope of licensure. Acquires and maintains knowledge and competence related to the expectations of their position by participating in workshops, reviewing professional publications, and establishing personal networks. Accepts responsibility and accountability for achievement of optimal outcomes within their scope of practice. Follows policies, procedures and standards; adheres to a professional code of ethics. Assumes responsibility for the risk and safety issues associated with the position. Required Education and Experience High School Graduate Master's Degree Master's Degree from an accredited university in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy 1 or more years of related experience Required Licensure and Certification Licensed Psychologist (LP) - State Board of Behavioral Sciences Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist(LMFT) - State Board of Behavioral Sciences Licensed Masters Social Worker(LMSW) - State Board of Behavioral Sciences Licensed Professional Counselor(LPC) - State Board of Behavioral Sciences Master's level licensure with the Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board as one of the following: Licensed Professional Counsel (LPC) Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) Licensed Master's Level Psychologist (LMLP) Preferred Licensure and Certification Master's level Addiction licensure with the Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board Licensed Master's Addiction Counselor or Licensed Clinical Addiction Counsel (LMAC or LCAC) Clinical Licensure (LCPC, LSCSW, LCMFT, or LCP) Required Language Skills Fluent English - Read, write and speak. Position Title Pelvic Health Physical Therapist Part-Time Corbin Park Position Summary / Career Interest: The physical therapist works as a member of the interdisciplinary patient care team. They perform an individualized evaluation and design a goal-directed customized plan to improve the person's physical function and mobility. They periodically review the patient's performance to ensure that the goals are being met and/or make changes to the intervention plan. Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions Demonstrates competence in the areas of critical thinking, interpersonal relationships, and technical skills. Evaluates patients in clinical area served. Therapist considers all aspects of the patient including the physical, psychosocial, developmental, and cultural needs. Evaluation results are communicated to the physician, family, and other team members in a clear and concise manner. Develops and implements treatment plans using appropriate problem solving skills, and clinical reasoning. The therapist serves as a resource to staff members and students. Documentation is clear and concise, and in compliance with departmental, KPTA and APTA guidelines, and regulatory requirements from third party payers. Demonstrates understanding of regulatory requirements as it pertains to the clinical area served - Follows all departmental policies, procedures, and standards. Meets all state requirements for continuing education with the Kansas Board of Healing Arts. Demonstrates good rapport with patients and professionalism with other professionals, patients, and visitors. Demonstrates willingness to help out in all areas and recognize the needs of the entire department. Provides supervision for PTA's and rehabilitation technicians including communication of results of patient evaluation, as well as treatment plan and implementation. May provide educational programs through in-services to the rehab services department or interdisciplinary colleagues, and teaching labs to the PT students. May provide student supervision, utilizing a wide variety of supervisory styles to enhance student learning. May assist to develop, collect, and analyze performance improvement data.
