Responsibilities: Setup complex parts and operate machines without supervision. Interpret plans, work orders, blueprints, or drawings to determine necessary work, with full understanding of GD&T. Inspect parts for quality and appropriate tolerance using tools such as micrometers, calipers, air gauges, and comparators. Finish parts with different materials to close tolerance without supervision. Examine surface of workpiece for defects before starting work. Meet production and quality requirements at all times; maintain a clean work area. Modify machining feed and speeds on multiple material types and select tooling, gauges as required. Use measuring tools and inspection tools to verify part quality. Replace worn tools, inspect parts, and adjust tool offsets as needed. Work as a team player and follow all safety rules and regulations. Drive continuous process improvements. Requirements: High School Diploma from an accredited institution. Minimum 7 years experience in machining, honing, or lapping parts in a manufacturing environment. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds often. Ability to read and interpret drawings, sketches, manufacturing routings, procedures, and routers. Good verbal and written communication skills required. Familiarity with SPC principles and methods. Ability to produce and inspect critical parts with tight tolerances and finishes, with minimal supervision. Ability to logically solve problems and keep assignments and projects moving in an orderly and structured fashion.
