Superintendent (Construction Manager)
We are seeking a Construction Manager (Superintendent) to lead our client’s on site execution of construction projects from start to finish, delivering work on time, within budget, and to quality and safety standards. This role manages all daily field operations, subcontractors, schedules, logistics, and site safety while coordinating closely with the Project Manager and project stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Lead all day to day on site construction activities and subcontractor coordination Serve as primary field liaison with Project Manager, subcontractors, inspectors, and owners Plan and sequence work; create and manage project schedules (including 2 week lookaheads) Ensure materials are delivered, staged, installed, and tracked per schedule Oversee quality control, site logistics, workforce levels, and productivity Maintain site safety program; ensure compliance with company standards and regulations Maintain daily logs, reports, photos, and site documentation Identify schedule risks and implement recovery plans; escalate impacts to Project Manager Resolve field issues related to design, scope, labor, equipment, and sequencing Verify subcontractor scope compliance and change order eligibility Coordinate inspections, testing, and punch list completion Maintain clean, organized, and professional job sites Mentor and develop Assistant Superintendents Build and maintain strong working relationships with all trades and stakeholders Qualifications Experience 10 years of construction management or superintendent experience Technical & Professional Skills Solid knowledge of construction means and methods, scheduling, and cost control Ability to read and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, and scopes Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Procore Proven leadership, communication, and problem solving skills Travel 90–100% travel to client job sites for the duration of projects GPA prides itself on providing quality, personalized services to its clients and candidates.
