The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of construction estimating experience , strong attention to detail, and experience using estimating or construction management software. Experience with BuildingConnected is strongly preferred. Responsibilities Review drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project documents to prepare accurate estimates. Perform detailed takeoffs for commercial construction projects, including ground-up builds and tenant improvements. Prepare cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, subcontractors, and suppliers. Solicit pricing from subcontractors and vendors and compare bids for accuracy and completeness. Assist with preparing bid packages, proposals, and executive summaries for leadership review. Track project costs, pricing trends, and subcontractor/vendor information. Help build and maintain estimating templates, cost databases, and centralized estimating tools. Communicate with subcontractors, suppliers, project managers, and internal leadership throughout the estimating process. Identify scope gaps, exclusions, risks, and value-engineering opportunities. Support preconstruction planning and handoff information to the project team after award. Maintain organized records of estimates, proposals, takeoffs, and bid documentation. Qualifications Minimum 3 years of construction estimating experience required. Commercial construction estimating experience strongly preferred. Experience estimating ground-up construction, tenant improvement projects, or commercial renovation projects. Proficiency with BuildingConnected strongly preferred. Experience with estimating software, takeoff software, or construction management platforms. Strong understanding of construction documents, drawings, specifications, and scopes of work. Ability to read plans and perform accurate quantity takeoffs. Strong attention to detail and ability to identify missing information or scope gaps. Excellent communication, organization, and follow-up skills. Ability to manage multiple bids, deadlines, and subcontractor communications at once. Strong Microsoft Excel skills preferred.
