Manage electrical engineers, EITs, designers, and technical staff; balance workload and project assignments. Mentor staff, support performance reviews, help hire and develop the electrical team. Maintain and improve electrical standards, details, QA/QC procedures, and design practices. Meet with clients and project teams to understand project needs, solve technical issues, and present design options. Support proposals, client relationships, and business-development efforts. What we’re looking for Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Active Professional Engineer license required. 10 years of electrical engineering experience in the built environment, ideally within an A/E or MEP consulting setting. Experience leading electrical design for commercial, multifamily, mixed-use, civic/government, hospitality, education, or similar building projects. Experience leading, mentoring, and staffing an electrical engineering team. Strong working knowledge of NEC/NFPA 70 and applicable energy, building, life-safety, fire alarm, and emergency-power codes. Experience with Revit MEP and building electrical construction documents. Familiarity with AGi32, COMcheck, SKM PowerTools, generator sizing software, Bluebeam, and BIM 360/Autodesk Construction Cloud. Comfortable being client-facing and contributing to business development.
