Role Overview The Estimator I plays a key supporting role in the preparation of cost estimates and bid proposals for structural construction projects. Working under the direction of senior estimators or project managers, this position will interpret structural drawings, review project specifications, and assist in quantity take-offs, vendor and subcontractor pricing, and the development of cost summaries. This role requires a strong attention to detail, basic construction knowledge, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Primary Responsibilities Prepares accurate take-offs for assigned projects on all types of contracts ranging from small to large and quite complex in nature. Provides project cost estimates & bids for assigned projects on all types of contracts ranging from small to large and quite complex in nature. Gathers, calculates and compiles data for use in the bid proposal estimates. Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to gather information necessary for preparing bids. Solicits and coordinates sub-trade bids and supplier quotes for labor, material and equipment to meet project specifications and budget requirements. Reviews and incorporates historical data from purchase orders subcontracts, productivity analysis reports and man hour figures to ensure accuracy in bid process. Audits proposal specifications and drawings to determine scope of work. Assists with maximizing profitability with a focus on long term growth without compromising safety or quality by monitoring cash flow, project margins, labor planning and spending while preparing a bid on a project. Performs special projects and completes all other duties as assigned or requested for the general support of the field organization. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management or equivalent combination of technical training and related experience, 1-3 years of experience supporting similar key position responsibilities. Experienced command of construction cost estimating software and Takeoff Systems. Thorough knowledge and understanding of general and subcontract documents, drawings, specifications, construction means, methods and materials. The EHR Application Support Specialist provides Tier 1 support to all EHR end users on EHR related areas. The EHR EU Support Specialist is responsible for providing Tier 1 (first call resolution) support to all EHR end-users EHR-related clinical and patient accounting applications. This role plays a vital role in supporting the successful implementation and sustainment phases of the VDH Electronic Health Record initiative and help ensures deployed EHR capabilities remain stable, fully operational, and effectively adopted by end-users through post-cutover health checks, issue tracking, and sustainment readiness planning. Provides Tier 1 clinical support to meet and exceed established Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and follow ITIL processes. Triages end user issues and determines if the issue can be resolved at Tier 1 or if it needs to be escalated to Tier 2. Must understand VDH Local Health Department EHR policies, procedures, and workflows and Oracle Health-specific procedures to resolve issues. Acquires and maintains a general and clinical knowledge of client and related software applications. Attends professional development training as instructed. Maintenance Technician Job Duties: Perform various duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment. Conducts machine setup, troubleshooting, repairs and preventive maintenance service. Provides emergency and unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service. Prepares and sets up machinery for scheduled production runs. Performs mechanic skills including but not limited to, mechanical, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of packaging and production machines. Performs electrical troubleshooting and repair on various equipment and building maintenance. Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments. Will use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties. Safely operate and repair forklift. Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas. Requirements: Previous experience in a maintenance mechanic/technician role in a manufacturing environment. Electrical training/experience with 480 3 phases/machine controls. Experience with VFD Drives and PLCs preferred. Background with manufacturing methods, process improvement programs and procedures required. Experience operating forklift equipment.
