Job Description Family Medicine Residency Core Faculty | Moultrie, GA Southwest Georgia — Georgia South Family Medicine Residency Program Position Details Full-time, permanent faculty position Setting: Outpatient clinic on hospital campus — state-of-the-art 39,000 sq. ft. medical education center Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00a–5:00p Average: 2 clinic days, 1 precepting day, and dedicated GME administration time per week Call: No overnight call required — optional OB or inpatient adult medicine coverage available Visa candidates not accepted at this time Practice OverviewSeeking a BE/BC Family Medicine Physician to join a growing ACGME-accredited Family Medicine Residency Program as a Core Faculty Member: Provide full-spectrum continuity patient care in an outpatient clinic setting Precept, teach, and supervise residents through didactic lectures, clinic supervision, and program development Provide low-risk prenatal and postpartum care Opportunity to teach and supervise residents in inpatient care and low-risk obstetrics delivery GME faculty experience not required — faculty training provided on the job Ideal candidate is passionate about teaching and learning foundational principles of graduate medical education Open to candidates with additional training or fellowships Bilingual Spanish/English preferred but not required Clinic Facilities & Technology 23 exam rooms, 2 procedure rooms, 2 precepting rooms, and on-site lab MSK ultrasound, handheld ultrasounds, Ellman radio-frequency device, Blu-U light, dermatoscopes, and NST Physicians' lounge with meals provided, 24-hour fitness center, simulation labs, skills lab, computer lab, and conference center Procedures Performed LARC insertion and removal Pap smears Joint injections with and without ultrasound Skin procedures and incision and drainage (I&D) Toenail removals Sterile vaginal exam and cervical checks Patient Volume Average 10–12 patients per half day in clinic Compensation & Benefits Competitive guaranteed salary commensurate with experience — negotiable based on GME experience or fellowship training Generous student loan repayment assistance if needed Paid health insurance in exchange for precepting residents and medical students Paid malpractice insurance with tail coverage Optional supplemental benefits package including retirement match as a W-2 hospital employee Paid house-hunting and relocation assistance Monthly cell phone allowance CME allowance and paid CME time off Paid time off annually plus holidays Monthly stipend through duration of training for residents and fellows who make an early commitment Required Qualifications MD or DO — Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine (ABFM or AOBFM) Completion of an accredited Family Medicine Residency Program by start date Active Georgia medical license or IMLC participation Must be in good standing with current employer or residency/fellowship program Passion for teaching and supervising residents in full-spectrum Family Medicine Visa candidates not accepted at this time About the Community – Moultrie, Georgia Charming small city in the heart of southwest Georgia's agricultural region Warm, welcoming Southern community with a strong sense of local pride Affordable cost of living with excellent schools and family-friendly neighborhoods Rich local history, festivals, and community events throughout the year Outdoor recreation including fishing, hunting, and exploring south Georgia's natural landscapes Convenient access to Tallahassee, FL and Albany, GA
