Strong technical knowledge demonstrating broad understanding of electrical power and controls design and installation Demonstrated experience in PLC logic programming, documentation, and troubleshooting control programs (Allen Bradley, Siemens, Modicon, etc.) Experience with facilities power distribution (including voltages to 600v & three phase) and control systems and subsystems Power transmission equipment such as gearboxes, drive trains, conveying equipment, etc. Proven record of delivering engineering outputs to achieve scheduled targets Effective communication skills are needed for this role, both verbal and written as well as the ability to interact with employees at all levels of the organization. Equipment includes body makers, printers, washers as well as other packaging machinery. Responsibilities include following all local, state and federal electrical codes. Documentation of problems and maintenance of equipment and facility systems are also required. This position will also provide training for equipment operation and safety precautions. Responsibilities also include installing and maintaining new and existing electrical wiring within the facility. Job Requirements A high school graduate or equivalent with 4 years working experience in a manufacturing setting (high-speed manufacturing is preferred). An Associates/technical degree is preferred or a related vocational/technical certification (state electrical license, journeyman license, etc.). Knowledge of Allen Bradley/Omron/Direct Logic PLC's are required as well as integrated Window software to analyze AC/DC, single phase and 3 phase generators and AC/DC motors, relays, switches, breaker transformers, and power panels. Knowledge of single and 3-phase up to 440 volts. This position also requires the individual to be able to read and interpret mechanical blueprints, electrical schematics, and parts specifications. This is a position for a seasoned HVAC Technician who will be responsible for executing Preventive and Corrective Maintenance at multiple locations as well as coordinating with points of contact with the customer for access to the facilities. The HVAC Technician will travel to the various sites serviced by the SVI Region 5 contract (VA, MD, DE). Findings and reports will be submitted to the Project manager and Quality Manager.
