Encorus Group is seeking a full-time Fire Protection Designer for our Springville or Depew office. In this role, you will support the design, drafting, and development of water-based fire protection systems, including fire sprinkler and standpipe systems. You will be responsible for preparing detailed drawings, performing hydraulic calculations, and coordinating designs with internal teams and external partners to ensure compliance with applicable codes and project requirements. Responsibilities: Prepare detailed fire protection system layout drawings using AutoCAD or other drafting software. Perform hydraulic calculations for water-based fire protection systems. Develop system designs including pipe sizing, routing, and component selection. Review architectural, structural, and mechanical drawings to coordinate fire protection system layouts. Apply applicable codes and standards (e.g., NFPA 13, NFPA 14, NFPA 20) to all design work. Assist in the preparation of submittal packages, including drawings, calculations, and material data. Revise and update drawings based on redlines, design changes, and coordination feedback.
