Fiber Optic Residential Installation & Troubleshooting Technician – 1099 Independent Contractor We are actively seeking experienced technicians for residential fiber optic internet,phone,cable installations and service work supporting Spectrum Charter operations in the Fayetteville, NC area and surrounding communities. Important: This is not a full construction role. • No underground drop burial • No fiber splicing (quick connectors only) • No bucket truck or heavy construction work • Not an hourly/W-2 position This is a 1099 Independent Contractor opportunity paid per completed job. Key Responsibilities: • Perform residential fiber optic installations • Handle troubleshooting and service calls • Install and activate ONT equipment • Set up routers, modems, and related customer equipment • Complete light coax cabling as needed • Educate customers and perform equipment testing Requirements – Vehicle & Tools Candidates must have: • A truck or cargo van capable of transporting a 28 ft non-collapsible fiberglass ladder 6 ft fiberglass ladder • Basic hand tools and professional appearance • Strong independent troubleshooting skills • Reliable transportation and ability to work autonomously Meters are available for rental if needed.
