JOB OVERVIEW • Job Title: Urology • Job Type: Locum Tenens • Location: Lewisburg, PA • Service Setting: Inpatient • Coverage Type: Call Only • Coverage Period: May 12 - Ongoing • Clinical Shift Schedule: - 1-2 weekends per month, inpatient only - Friday to Monday coverage (start time between 7:00 AM 4:00 PM) - Call coverage required until Monday at 7:00 AM PATIENT INFORMATION • Patient Demographics: Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics (16 years and older) • Patient Volume: 2-4 new consults daily • Case Mix: General Urology - gross hematuria, stones, urine retention, difficult catheter insertion FACILITY INFORMATION • Trauma Level: Trauma cases transferred to Geisinger Medical Center • EMR System: Epic • Specialty Backup Available: None for inpatient • Support Staff Available: None for inpatient PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE • Hospital Privileges Required: Yes • Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Airfare, lodging, rental car OR mileage covered REQUIRED PROCEDURES • General Urology procedures • Consultations from emergency department and hospital • Surgeries in main OR JOB REQUIREMENTS • Active PA License or IMLC • BC/BE • ACLS, BLS, DEA, CSR • Experience: Minimum 2 years in Urology • Flu vaccine required or exemption DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Provide inpatient general urology care for weekend on-call coverage • Handle consultations from the emergency department and hospital • Perform surgeries in the main OR as needed • Ensure accurate documentation using Epic EMR • Maintain compliance with facility protocols and procedures
