About this Job: Are you ready to further your career in Dialysis with both adult and pediatric patients and apheresis? MedStar Georgetown University Hospital's Dialysis and Apheresis Units are looking for passionate and skilled nurses to join our team! Our hospital is located on Georgetown University's campus. Unit Description MedStar Georgetown's 2 South is a five bed Acute Dialysis Unit and a three bed Apheresis Unit. When working in Dialysis nurses provide hemodialysis treatments to admitted patients throughout MedStar Georgetown University Hospital. While most patients receive treatment on 2 South, nurses from the unit will travel to the ICU to provide hemodialysis to critically ill patients at the bedside. When working in Apheresis, nurses perform Peripheral Blood Stem Cell Collections and therapeutic treatments such as plasma and red cell exchange and photopheresis. Nurses on 2 South are active in Collaborative Governance throughout the hospital and are encouraged to participate in professional development opportunities through coaching and mentoring. Qualifications ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing required. At least one year of hospital-based RN experience in Dialysis is required.
