Ensures that equipment is fully operational prior to each use, by checking for proper calibration and operating deficiencies. * c. Sends all studies to PACS; prints CDs as necessary. All exams are complete in RIS including image oriented, marked, labeled, and notes are accurate. * d. Studies that have been transmitted after hours by teleradiography are printed and scanned into PACS, if applicable. * e. Checks for prior exams and assures that they are loaded, if necessary, and properly labeled prior to sending to PACS. Operations * a. Is responsible for planning, coordinating, staffing and technical issues of the section. Responsible for working with co-workers to efficiently perform cytology duties , ThinPrep screening (GYN-automated assisted PAP screening, Non-GYN, stat reads and FNA), special cytological preparations and evaluates specimens from different anatomic sites for interpretation utilizing appropriate criteria for both immediate and same day microscopic examination. Qualifications: A heart to serve patients and families and a passion for providing the best possible care Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing school (BSN preferred). Current state license as a registered nurse Experience: 2-3 years of supervisory experience as a registered nurse in an appropriate clinical care setting, home health, or hospice environment (preferred). Evidence of clinical and supervisory knowledge and experience appropriate to the assigned supervision responsibilities Required: Reliable transportation. Ability to sit, stand, bend, move intermittently and lift at least 80-100 lbs and bear the weight of an average adult effectively.
