Detention Center - Director

ESSENTIAL DUTIES: The Director serves as a member of the Assistant County Manager's leadership team and provides recommendations on goals, policy, strategic decision-making, detention operations and personnel development while overseeing the overall operations of the detention center. Responsible for the safety and security of the detention center, its personnel, inmates and general public. Responsibility includes inspection of the facility in accordance with American Jail Association guidelines and must respond all corrective action identified as a result of all levels of inspections. Project Scope: Remove the existing emergency pumps in all pump rooms. b. Remove the existing pneumatic Pumps in PR-3175 and PR-3177 and replace them with new emergency floor-mounted pumps. c. Provide new emergency pumps in all pump rooms. d. Replace existing pump car 4” ball valves with new 4” gate valves. e. Provide new 4” camlock pump car hose connectors, including 4” flanges and extension pipes in all pump rooms. f. Provide discharge pipes along the tracks for PR-2133 and PR-2134. g. Clean track drain inlets pipes. h. Replace baffles plates entering the sumps. i. Provide check valves in existing pressure relief manholes. Experience in many types of mechanical construction including mechanical equipment room upgrades and rehabilitation, hot water generators, boilers, breeching, piping installation/replacement/upgrades, water distribution systems, building management systems, HVAC installation and controls, fire alarm upgrades, security system upgrades, pump systems. Ability to read plans and specs and prepare written contract administration documentation such as daily narratives (work reports), controlled inspection reports, daily time and material records, and document unit price work. Identify potential extra work issues and keep Resident Engineer advised of issues. Review plans for constructability and prepare comments. Job Title: VMware Cloud Foundation Systems Engineer – NASA Support Job Location: Greenbelt, MD (Hybrid) Description The VMware Systems Engineer is responsible to provide technical leadership for a team maintaining a VMware Cloud Foundation virtual environment to include Windows, Linux, on-prem, and AWS environments, and a strong security posture. This position supports a group of flight dynamics engineers in the GSFC Flight Dynamics Facility (FDF). The FDF is a NASA Mission Essential Infrastructure facility that provides multi-mission navigation services for a wide range of robotic and human space flight spacecraft missions. Responsibilities Support VMware to include Cloud Foundations Support virtualization technologies such as vSAN, NSX, vSphere, vCenter, ESXi, STS, etc. Provided support to help manage and troubleshoot the VMware environment.
