Electrical Design Engineer

Under general direction of the Director of Engineering, the Electrical Design Engineer is responsible for new product electrical design (including but not limited to PCB layout, software development, schematic capture and hardware design), product improvements, documentation, production test fixture design, reliability analysis, test strategy development as well as providing technical expertise and product knowledge using a variety of engineering disciplines. The Electrical Design Engineer will also work collaboratively with other members of the Engineering team to ensure that projects are completed in a timely manner. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Lead engineering projects covering the company's range of technology and product areas Design and develop complete devices that integrate mechanical, electrical/electronic components Interact with Product Management, Marketing and Customers to fully understand product requirements and develop cost effective and innovative solutions Create solid models and drawings for assembly, components, tooling and fixturing in SolidWorks Perform Finite Element Analysis on high stress components Work with internal and external vendors and consultants to create and test functional prototypes of new devices, component changes, and design improvements Create designs that are aligned with assembly and manufacturing capabilities; perform Design-for-Manufacturing reviews Perform product verification and validations according to the defined design inputs and product specifications Develop multi-level Bill-of-Materials Write reports, specifications, correspondence, and procedures Ensure products comply with and are certified to applicable specifications and regulatory standards Stay abreast of any new technologies, including design software, rules, design practices etc. Develop test strategy and solutions when applicable Perform functional testing and troubleshooting of electronic products Perform schematic design, analysis, and Simulation of electronic circuits Provide guidance to internal and external sources for PCB layout Lead and train members of the Design Team Work closely with a wide variety of internal and external customers to define, meet or exceed design parameters during the design phase. Cable and Wire Harness Assembler

The Cable Assembly Operator is responsible to correctly and efficiently complete wire and cable assemblies. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Coach and train new, less experienced assemblers Read wire diagrams, blue prints and schematics for cable assembly. Assemble wires into cables and harness systems per schematic drawings. Wrap and tie wires at designated points to form harness. Assemble electrical components, systems and/or subsystems. Use automatic and hand held wire strippers for wire ends. Measure wires and finished cable assemblies for quality. Solder parts or connections between parts. Solder, wrap, and coat wires to ensure proper installation. Perform other tasks as assigned by Supervisor. Job Requirements High School diploma or GED. Materials Supervisor

The Materials Supervisor leads the Materials team at the Mesa, AZ facility. The Materials Supervisor is responsible for inventory, material storage, receiving materials, material delivery to the point of use in the facility, and shipping material. The Materials Supervisor is also responsible for planning and scheduling appropriate labor and materials resources efficient and cost-effective production flow. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Supervises the Materials team members. Leads the department. Trains, supports and develops direct reports to ensure expected job performance. Is the point of contact at the Mesa facility for all materials shipped to and scheduled for production. Communicates regularly with the Purchasing, Programs and Planning teams to ensure customer requirements are met. Ensures that schedules, stagings, and stock checks are performed per Planning Department requirements. Is responsible to ensure all materials shipped from the Mesa facility are shipped on time and correct. Communicates regularly with Materials team at the Nogales facility to coordinate shipments between the facilities. Ensures that ABT complies with all customs requirements for north and south bound shipments to Nogales. Ensures that regular cycle counts are performed and inventory is correct. Schedules production effectively by facility by analyzing and using multiple data sources to develop strategic and tactical plans for work flow Strives to level load production schedules to ensure efficient and cost effective production Recommends labor levels for efficient production and on-time delivery Ensures all products received are inspected and correct. Ensures all products shipped meet appropriate packaging requirements to ensure undamaged shipments. Ensures that requisitions for material shortages, damaged components and test repairs are completed in a timely manner. Evaluates labor requirements and works with the Operations Manager to assure proper staffing levels. Recommends and implements solutions for capacity bottlenecks. Supports expediting material throughout the facility as required. Performs other tasks as assigned by Manager.
