Reports to the Controller Salary $65,000 - $70,000 depending on experience Job Duties of the Staff Accountant: Process full cycle payroll for 70 employees on a biweekly basis Enter all payroll adjustments, including setting up and maintaining garnishments Verify timekeeping records and resolve discrepancies with supervisors prior to processing payroll Complete journal entries for payroll and related payables by creating and downloading payroll reports and creating and updating Excel spreadsheets Work with Human Resources on employee setups and terminations Manage client billing process, including meeting with the project team, creating monthly invoices, and submitting invoices to clients Assist with monthly aging reporting and collections and provide timely updates to Principals and Project Managers Enter subcontractor invoices in Deltek Vantagepoint and verify the accuracy of project and contract amounts Prepare weekly cash report in support of Treasury Management including posting all deposits, checks, and wire transfers and clearing A/R Establish and maintain project numbers and information in financial system Qualifications for the Staff Accountant: 3-5 years' accounting experience required Experience working in the architecture, engineering or construction industry a plus but not required Bachelor's degree in accounting a plus, but not required Microsoft Office Suite, including intermediate to advanced Excel skills (pivot tables and lookups highly preferred) Experience using Deltek Vantagepoint a plus.
