Surgery - Trauma Physician

Marshfield Medical Center (MMC) in Marshfield, Wisconsin is seeking a BC/BE fellowship-trained Trauma Surgeon to join an established 7-member Trauma Surgery section. This service is an acute care trauma service model covering all aspects of acute care surgery, critical care and trauma. MMC is a Level II Trauma Center. Trauma attending is in house 24/7. During the day, one trauma surgeon/surgical intensivist or critical care intensivist staffs the SICU, one surgeon staffs the Acute Care Surgical Service and one surgeon is dedicated to trauma patients on the floor and to trauma activations. At night, one trauma surgeon covers SICU, Acute Care Surgical Service and Trauma. 4 5-night shifts per month. Back-up for the night trauma surgeon is covered by a day trauma surgeon. The ICU and trauma services are each supported with allied health providers. The acute care surgical service includes surgical resident supervision. The ideal candidate will have completed a Surgical Critical Care or Acute Care Fellowship and be board certified/board eligible for surgical critical care through the American Board of Surgery.
