The team works with patients to educate and progress post-surgery using the Enhanced Recovery After Surgery Pathway while also managing any medical conditions the patients come in with prior to surgery. 7 West nurses work closely with the wound ostomy care team therefore RNs on our unit learn wound care from the experts.
