Actively participate in project quality control and quality assurance plans to ensure work is constructed in compliance and is accurately documented through clear and traceable records keeping and reporting. Provide technical support for, construction planning, interpretation of design and the development of efficient construction methods. Develop and produce required design, drawings, engineering calcs, for project components or activities such as crane/hoisting lifts, temporary structures or works, falsework, shoring, formwork, safety systems, etc. Actively participate in project close-out including, required documentation, timely management of punch list, commissioning, and transitional system operations turnover. Assist in interpretation and dissemination of drawings, specifications, and other relevant project documents, for field crews and craft supervision. Perform quantity calculations by taking measurements and determining percentage of completed and installed materials and work. Participate in the creation and implementation of Job/ Activity Hazard Analysis, Construction Work Plans, and work packages. Assist in field surveying and project layout including elevations, control points, and compilation of as-built data. Track and verify accuracy of project productions, cost coding of manhours, equipment and in-place quantities are documented daily. Assist in the preparation of Job Hazard Analysis (JHA’s). Participate in jobsite safety reviews, toolbox meetings, mass safety meetings, and safety training. Order and schedule material deliveries. Perform quantity takeoffs from drawings, specifications, and other contract documents. Perform basic engineering calculations and technical drafting to support field operations. Participate in CPM schedule maintenance and performing updates as directed by others. Assist in the maintenance of project recordkeeping and correspondence functions including daily reports, photographs, requests for information (RFIs), and memorandums. Participate in project daily data entry, for project tracking including, productions, labor, equipment, etc. and participate in reviewing cost reports with jobsite management. Assist in identifying and documenting, change orders and as-built data to be reviewed by the Project Manager. Provide overall support to project field operations. Qualifications : Four-year engineering or construction management degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and or two (2) years of relevant experience in a similar capacity in heavy-civil construction projects. Preferred 2 years' construction field experience on heavy civil or infrastructure related projects. Proficient computer knowledge including Microsoft Office, BlueBeam. Preferred experience utilizing; HCSS HeavyJob, Vista, CAD, P6. Must be able to freely access all parts of a construction site in wide-ranging climates and environments Must have a valid Driver’s License. Asphalt Milling Laborer

Position Summary: The Milling Grounds Person is responsible for assisting the Milling Machine Operator with all aspects of milling operations, including site preparation, grade control, cleanup, traffic awareness, equipment maintenance, and ensuring the safe removal of asphalt pavement. This position works closely with the milling crew to maintain production while following all company safety and quality standards. Responsibilities: Comply with (and actively promote) all Safety policies and procedures including reporting all accidents, incidents and near misses to ensure adherence to our Number One Core Value – Safety, first in everything we do. Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all Middlesex safety policies and procedures. Must be on site at scheduled start time and present for the daily huddle. Maintain good health status w/ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs. and flexibility to bend, push, pull, stoop and/or twist. Thoroughly inspect area with a metal detector prior to the start of any milling. Able to read and understand Specifications for each project. Assist with the proper layout of project from contract drawings to ensure the highest quality and productive practices are used. Establish and maintain positive relationship with all Team Members and Supervisors. Check all mill functions and report all equipment problems to your supervisor immediately. Complete daily equipment condition report. Monitor milling operations for depth of cut, cross slope and quality of cut and communicate with Quality Control. Must know and understand how to operate milling machine automation. Must know and understand how to utilize a smart level. Operate milling machine to ensure proper cross slope, crown line, and depth of cut is achieved and meets and the surface meets the project requirements and specifications. Inform your supervisor immediately of any challenges regarding the project. Be sure assigned equipment is properly maintained and kept clean at all times. Make sure all equipment is parked in a safe area in a neat and orderly fashion and accessible to transports. Know and understand the clear zone requirements. Place Type 2 barricades if needed making sure the equipment is not a hazard. Be sure all equipment is fueled, filled with water and necessary teeth are replaced at the end of shift. Be sure to lock all compartments. Inspect the project daily, prior to departing, to ensure work is complete with the highest quality and all clean-up is complete. Report all Accidents/Incidents immediately to your supervisor and the Safety Department. Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years Milling experience. Safety and quality orientated. Strong work ethic. Qualifications: Previous experience working at an asphalt plant, aggregate facility, construction materials plant, or similar industrial environment preferred. Experience operating heavy equipment such as loaders, skid steers, forklifts, excavators, or similar equipment preferred. Basic mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform routine maintenance and assist with equipment repairs. Basic computer skills and the ability to learn plant operating systems and production software. Ability to read and understand equipment manuals, safety procedures, and operational instructions. Paving Superintendent

Position Summary: The Paving Superintendent provides overall project support and leadership to all team members and subcontractors. This role ensures that projects are completed safely, efficiently, and with the highest quality, adhering to all specifications and company standards. Responsibilities: Comply with (and actively promote) all Safety policies and procedures including reporting all accidents, incidents and near misses to ensure adherence to our Number One Core Value – Safety, first in everything we do. Notify the Operations Manager in case of illness to arrange proper project coverage. Maintain physical capability to lift at least 50 lbs. and perform tasks requiring bending, pushing, pulling, stooping, and twisting. Report daily crew attendance to the Operations Coordinator. Keep a copy of the project plans and specifications on hand at all times and confirm details with the Project Manager. Arrive on-site 30 minutes before the scheduled start time to review the project with the Foreman and ensure all equipment is functional and in position. Conduct a site walkthrough to identify and address potential hazards. Complete and submit daily time sheets in Heavy Job. Establish and maintain positive relationships with project personnel, subcontractors, and the project superintendent. Oversee and ensure proper project layout from contract drawings for optimal quality and productivity. Attend and facilitate Weekly Toolbox Talks, submitting reports to the Safety Department. Supervise and coordinate activities of all team members under supervision. Ensure efficient operation of crew and trucking throughout the shift. Confirm and coordinate asphalt tonnage and mix types with the plant. Calculate the required number of trucks for paving and milling operations. Monitor trucking activity throughout the shift and adjust truck numbers as needed by communicating with the Foreman, Dispatch, and Plant. Obtain approval and signatures for all change orders, extra work, and overruns from the Project Manager and Owner. Secure a Paving Release from the owner when necessary to relieve the company from uncontrollable project challenges. Ensure assigned equipment is properly maintained and clean at all times. Report equipment repair needs to the Shop Superintendent promptly. Park all equipment safely and in an orderly fashion, following clear zone requirements and placing Type 2 barricades as needed. Address team member issues by suspending employees if necessary, in consultation with the Operations Manager. All terminations are handled by Senior Management. Monitor and support all Foreman responsibilities. Verify subcontractor work hours and ensure sign-in/out sheets are completed legibly. Conduct daily project inspections to ensure work meets quality standards and all cleanup is completed. Report all accidents and incidents immediately to the supervisor and Safety Department. Communicate with Quality Control and review reports to ensure data accuracy and alignment with project measurements. Track yields, density, slope, and straight edge compliance. Submit daily schedule requests to Dispatch (cc Plant Manager, Operations Manager, QC Manager, and Operations Coordinator) by 10 AM for day shifts and at the end of the shift for night work. Send the weekly schedule to the Operations Coordinator (cc Operations Manager and Dispatch) every Thursday by 10 AM. Attend weekly Operations Meetings and prepare in advance for special project requirements. Qualifications: Must possess a valid driver’s license. Minimum of five years of paving experience. Strong leadership and supervisory skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking. Team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills. CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level 1 and/or Level 2 certification is a plus.
