Job Summary: The Process Engineer is responsible for optimizing manufacturing processes, improving equipment performance, reducing downtime, increasing production efficiency, and ensuring product quality throughout the bottling operation. This role works closely with Production, Maintenance, Quality, and Sanitation teams to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining compliance with food safety, quality, and regulatory standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Process Optimization: Analyze production data and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, throughput, and product quality. Develop and implement process improvements to reduce waste, downtime, and operating costs. Monitor key process parameters and recommend corrective actions when deviations occur. Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for process failures and recurring production issues. Support startup, commissioning, and validation of new equipment and production lines. Continuous Improvement: Lead Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Six Sigma, and Kaizen initiatives. Develop and track KPIs including: OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) Line Efficiency Downtime Scrap and Yield Losses Changeover Performance Water and Utility Consumption Facilitate continuous improvement projects across the facility. Production Support: Provide technical support to production teams during daily operations. Troubleshoot bottling, filling, packaging, processing, and utility systems. Work with operators and maintenance personnel to resolve equipment and process issues. Assist in developing standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions. Quality & Food Safety: Ensure all processes comply with: GMPs HACCP FDA Regulations Company Quality Standards Support quality investigations and corrective action plans. Participate in internal and external audits. Engineering & Project Management: Lead capital improvement and process improvement projects. Develop project scopes, budgets, timelines, and implementation plans. Coordinate with equipment manufacturers, contractors, and vendors. Create and update P&IDs, process flow diagrams, and technical documentation. Utilities & Process Systems: Monitor and optimize: Water Treatment Systems Reverse Osmosis Systems Carbon Filtration Systems Boilers and Steam Systems Chillers and Glycol Systems Compressed Air Systems CIP Systems Identify opportunities for utility savings and process reliability improvements.
