Level 3 Trauma, acute care hospital with 21-bed ED, 6 fast track beds, and 14 ICU beds. Annual volume of 24,440 with 10.8% admission rate; 1.5% transfers. Qualifications: Completion of an Emergency Medicine accredited residency program is preferred with ABEM or AOBEM Board Certification/Board eligibility. Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Board Certification with significant Emergency Medicine experience will be considered. Additional certifications required: PALS, BLS, ACLS, ATLS Practice in the Heart of the Community Scheduling: 9-hour shifts: 5:30 am-2:30 pm, 1:30 pm-10:30 pm, 9 pm-6 am. Full-time is 120 hours per month. Key Responsibilities: Respond to floor codes, including neonatal resuscitation. CT in-house, Ultrasound, and MRI on call at night. Bedside Ultrasound performed by all EM physicians. Specialty services include: Anesthesiology, Internal Medicine, Cardiac Catheterization, Cardiology, OB/GYN, Obstetrics, and Podiatry. Experience working with advanced heart failure patients, VA/VV ECMO, and LVAD. Preferably 2-3 years of practicing experience as a BC Intensivist. Practice in the Heart of the Community Scheduling: Day shifts only with minimal call from home when working at Heart Hospital. 7/7 off schedule.
