Key Responsibilities\n \n Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments for children and adolescents to establish a clear understanding of their psychological and emotional needs. \n Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that are responsive to clients’ developmental stages, family dynamics, and specific mental health concerns. \n Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and family therapy, tailored to the unique challenges faced by young clients. \n Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of child psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to ensure continuity and effectiveness of care. \n Provide crisis intervention services to children and adolescents experiencing mental health emergencies, ensuring their safety and well-being. \n Educate clients and their families about mental health issues, available treatment options, and supportive community resources to empower them in their journey. \n Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality. \n Engage in continuous professional development activities, including training and staying abreast of current research and best practices in child and adolescent mental health. \n Patient Population / Client Focus\n Your primary focus will be on children and adolescents, who may present with a variety of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and behavioral disorders. By understanding the complexity of their needs, you will play a crucial role in fostering resilience and enhancing their mental health outcomes. Qualifications\n \n A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution. \n Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in California. \n Strong understanding of child and adolescent mental health disorders, therapeutic modalities, and evidence-based practices. \n Experience providing individual and family therapy to children and adolescents, with a strong emphasis on building trust and rapport. \n Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey complex information in a child-friendly manner. \n Proficiency in EHR systems and relevant computer applications to manage patient data efficiently. \n Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment. \n Preferred Experience\n \n At least two years of clinical experience working in mental health settings, particularly with children and adolescents. \n Experience in conducting group therapy sessions, psychoeducation workshops, or community outreach programs. \n Specialized training in play therapy or trauma-informed care is a plus. \n Compensation and Benefits\n We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience.
