About Sterling Homes Sterling Homes is a fast-growing luxury residential developer based in Silicon Valley, with 20 active projects totaling $200M . We design and build high-end custom homes across Cupertino, Los Altos, Saratoga, Atherton, and Menlo Park . As we scale, we are seeking a hands-on, senior construction leader to manage General Contractors, protect budgets and schedules, and keep projects moving. Key Responsibilities: ⁠ ⁠ Able to manage multiple projects for high end custom single family homes from project kick off to completion. ⁠ ⁠Schedule and co-ordinate construction activities with subcontractors, vendors, interior designs and internal project teams. ⁠ ⁠Manage project schedules, construction milestones, inspections and mitigate delays and handle escalations. ⁠ ⁠Work closely with sub-contractors and construction partners to align on scope, cost, timelines and responsibilities. ⁠ ⁠Ability to read and understand construction plans and field verify that construction matches plan documents through regular construction site walks and reviews. ⁠ ⁠Ability to calculate project costs & takeoff using estimation tools such as SquareTakeoff or similar. ⁠ ⁠Main clear project documentation, meeting notes, action items, schedules and status. ⁠ ⁠Coordinate with architects, engineers, and designers to resolve field issues during construction. ⁠ ⁠Co-ordinate with buyers & contractors for warranty issues after sale and ensure excellent customer service for buyers. ⁠ ⁠Help build scalable mechanisms to expand our operations and capacity while maintaining schedule, cost, and quality. Ideal Candidate Profile: We are looking for someone who is hands on, organized, construction-literate, and has ability to drive efficient processes and methods to scale our construction projects. The ideal candidate should be able to work with office teams and field crews and be able to progress projects rather than report problems and wait for it to be solved.
