Vice President of Engineering (New York)
VP of Engineering A rapidly growing manufacturer of power transformers, switchgear, and electrical distribution equipment, serving utilities, data centers, renewable energy developers, industrial facilities, and critical infrastructure projects across North America. The Vice President of Engineering will lead all engineering functions across the organization's transformer and switchgear product portfolio, overseeing product design, applications engineering, manufacturing engineering, new product development, and technical strategy. This executive will play a critical role in scaling engineering capabilities, optimizing product performance, supporting manufacturing operations, and driving innovation across medium- and high-voltage power distribution solutions. Lead and scale multidisciplinary engineering teams across transformer, switchgear, and power distribution product lines Define and execute the company's engineering strategy, technology roadmap, and new product development initiatives Oversee product design, applications engineering, manufacturing support, testing, validation, and product lifecycle management Drive continuous improvement across engineering processes, product performance, manufacturability, cost optimization, and quality Collaborate with utilities, EPCs, engineering consultants, hyperscale customers, and industrial end users to support technical requirements and business growth Support strategic planning, capacity expansion, and long-term product portfolio development 15 years of experience within power distribution, utility infrastructure, or electrical equipment manufacturing Leadership experience managing engineering teams within transformers, switchgear, substations, protection & control, or related power systems Strong understanding of utility power systems, MV/HV electrical infrastructure, and grid applications Experience working cross-functionally with manufacturing, operations, and customer-facing teams Strong commercial awareness with the ability to support technical customer discussions and strategic growth initiatives Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required; PE license preferred Competitive base salary performance bonus Medical, dental, and vision coverage 401(k) with company match Paid holidays and PTO Executive leadership growth opportunity within a rapidly scaling organization J-18808-Ljbffr
