Operates all workstations associated with the CT department. Pushes/retrieves images from the CT console to PACS. Maintains Joint Commission and other regulatory standards. Takes call when necessary. Performs other duties as assigned. Complies with all Wellstar Health System policies, standards of work and code of conduct. Required Minimum Education Graduate of AMA-approved School of Radiology Technology - Required Required Minimum Experience Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology - Required Less than 1 year experience in CT - Preferred Required Minimum Skills Excellent communication skills due to frequent interaction with physicians, patients, visitors and staff. Routinely obtains, presents and discusses clinical information regarding job responsibilities. Able to explain or give directions to maintain goodwill and cooperation. Must function independently and under pressure while participating as a team member. Provides excellent customer service at all times. Able to perform effectively in a stressful, fast-paced environment. Must prioritize appropriately. Must be detail oriented and able to multitask effectively throughout the shift. Must communicate professionally with various customer groups including patients, families, coworkers, volunteers and physicians. Must function independently while remaining a productive team member. Must comply with all hospital policies, protocols and professional standards. Competent in all aspects of CT including patient positioning, exposure factors and radiation protection. Must understand anatomy and pathology and how they affect image quality. Competent to perform all ACR and manufacturer-recommended quality control tests.
