Details Work in a diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab with 2 procedure rooms Adult to geriatric patient population 5x8 hour day shifts, either 7:00 AM-3:30 PM or 8:00 AM-4:30 PM 12-week assignment length Every other weekend shift requirement Rotating weekend call requirements May float within the facility and scope of practice as needed Uses Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR systems Hybrid OR and interventional cath lab work settings Utilizes Philips equipment, ultrasound, and PACS system Requirements Minimum of 2 years experience in a Cath Lab setting required Prior travel experience required; first-time travelers not accepted Trauma Level II experience required Current BLS, ACLS, and CCI RCIS certification required ARRT-R certification required State licensure required if applicable Epic charting experience preferred Proficiency in EKG lead placement, vascular access site prep, and sterile field maintenance required Experience with cardiac cath lab procedures including diagnostic catheterizations, PCI, PTCA, stent placement, and hemodynamic monitoring Experience with vascular studies including angioplasty, thrombolysis/thrombectomy, and upper/lower extremity angiography Experience with EP studies including cardioversion and pacemaker insertion Skilled in use of vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose) Two supervisory references (Manager level or above) highly preferred Additional Information Responsibilities include equipment setup, room circulating, scrubbing to maintain sterile field, and monitoring for life-threatening arrhythmias Perform procedures such as cardiac implant closure, IABP placement/removal, Impella insertion, and permanent pacemaker insertion Support diagnostic and interventional procedures including EVAR, TEVAR, carotid stenting, and dialysis graft interventions Facility provides scrubs Maximum of 7 days RTO per contract, which must be finalized at time of submission No RTO can be requested during orientation week Holiday coverage required based on number of major holidays falling within the assignment; limited holiday RTO may be considered only if three major holidays occur during the assignment Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, and New Year's Eve/Day Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate Previous perm, per diem, or float staff employees must be away from all facilities within this health system for one full year before applying as a traveler Returning travelers who were previously unable to complete an assignment must complete one successful assignment elsewhere before reapplying American Traveler Job ID P-739972.
