APPLY IN PERSON: 1000 Glendale Avenue Suite C Sparks, NV 89431 What we Offer: Day Shift: Start 1am-3am and work until 2pm-4pm Monday - Friday, weekend work available Flat rate pay - PER LOAD Consistent year round work RAIL & PORT Work - TWIC REQUIRED Runs/Lanes: one local in the Reno area and one going out to the ports in Oakland. Average about 200 miles locally and 350 miles when going to Oakland HOME DAILY No touch freight REQUIREMENTS: Must be at least 21 years of age Prior rail experience preferred but not required Class A CDL 2005 or newer tractor 6 months of verifiable experience in the last year Clean driving record with proven safe-driving history No DUI/OWI in the last 5 years No more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years No more than 2 preventable accidents in the last 3 years Strong time management & communication skills RESPONSIBILITIES: Operate commercial trucks safely and in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues. Load and unload cargo as needed, ensuring proper securing of loads. Transport goods to assigned destinations within scheduled timeframes. Maintain electronic or paper logs of working hours, driving hours, and rest periods (DOT compliance). Communicate with dispatch regarding delays, incidents, or route changes. Ensure accurate completion of delivery documentation (bills of lading, delivery receipts, etc.). Follow planned routes while adjusting for traffic or weather conditions. Provide excellent customer service at delivery sites. Keep equipment clean and report any necessary repairs. WORKING CONDITIONS: Ability to sit for extended periods while driving Exposure to varying weather conditions. Early morning, late evening, weekend, or holiday shifts may be required.
