Job Details We are looking for an experienced Construction Estimator to join our preconstruction team and help build the next phase of our estimating and preconstruction capabilities. This role is ideal for someone who understands how a general contractor operates and can think beyond spreadsheets. The right person will identify scope gaps, analyze subcontractor proposals, and help shape project strategy alongside operations and business development. You will work closely with leadership to support pursuit strategy, respond to pricing requests, and contribute to early-stage project planning and schematic design consulting. As the company continues to grow, the estimating group is expected to expand significantly, creating opportunities for leadership and long-term impact. Key Responsibilities Develop conceptual, schematic, and construction document estimates Review drawings, specifications, and subcontractor proposals to identify scope gaps and coordination issues Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and cost analyses Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and business development during the pursuit and preconstruction phases Assist with value engineering and cost optimization strategies Participate in subcontractor outreach and bid management Contribute to the development and refinement of estimating processes and tools Support early design-stage cost planning and schematic design consulting Qualifications 10 years of experience in commercial construction with a general contractor Experience in estimating, project management, or a combination of both Strong understanding of construction documents, building systems, and project delivery processes Ability to evaluate subcontractor bids and identify missing scope Excellent communication and collaboration skills Comfort working in a growing environment where processes continue to evolve - and you helping us build them!
