Job Description Johnson Service Group (JSG) is a nationally recognized professional staffing and recruiting firm that is looking for an experienced Quality Coordinator (AWS/CWI) to fill a three- year assignment estimated duration in the Columbus/Lakemont, GA area, This position may require some bending, lifting, climbing, prolonged sitting, prolonged walking, walking on gravel or crawling when necessary. Travel between various hydro sites in Georgia based on the needs of the customers. Bartlett's Ferry Salem, AL Oliver Dam: Columbus, Georgia Nacoochee Dam - Lakemont, GA Requirements: Required PPE: Safety shoes, Safety glasses, Hearing protection, Hard hat, Hi-viz vest This position will support various Hydro sites with their hydro modernization program. Travel between sites will be required as needed. Work schedule : Mostly day shifts M-F, but some OT at various times and days may be required (At the manager’s discretion) Requirements: 5 to 10 Years experience in quality oversight or 4-year degree in related field CWI/AWS certification AMPP/NACE certification is a plus Skill Sets & Expertise: Familiar with weld inspection and mapping Ability to perform quality surveillances of work performed onsite Review inspection test plans and other quality-related documentation Familiar with hold points, witness points Working knowledge of applicable ASME, AWS, ANSI, ASTM, ACI and other standards to ensure compliance with specified requirements Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and standards to ensure correct implementation on the project. Ability to function in a team environment or work independently. Self-starter Proactive with effective communication skills Responsibilities: Assist project management with development/implementation of project quality plan. Oversight of onsite contractors ensuring work is performed to specifications and standards. Assist with development and documentation of site-specific procedures and guidelines. Develop and maintain surveillance schedules. Perform required surveillances to ensure adherence to applicable codes and standards. Review inspection and test plans and monitor adherence to applicable plans. Assist construction with any required preventative maintenance. Participate in pre-bid, pre-mob, and any other contractor meetings to ensure adequate contractor understanding of project quality requirements. Assist project and construction management with managing overall project quality. Is this position supporting a government-related project?
