Responsible for working with co-workers to efficiently perform cytology duties , ThinPrep screening (GYN-automated assisted PAP screening, Non-GYN, stat reads and FNA), special cytological preparations and evaluates specimens from different anatomic sites for interpretation utilizing appropriate criteria for both immediate and same day microscopic examination. MT(ASCP) - Medical Technologist or MT(AMT) - Medical Technologist or MT(AAB) - Medical Technologist or MT(HEW) - Medical Technologist or MLS(ASCP) - Medical Laboratory Scientist or MLS(AMT) - Medical Laboratory Scientist Additional License(s) and Certification(s): Persons who possess the technologist qualifications and have recently moved into the state and certified by that state (with NY, FL, CA license) or have recently completed the academic and training/experience requirements from an accredited MLS program may be temporarily classified once as technologists for eighteen (18) months to afford the persons an opportunity to successfully complete an approved qualifying examination. within 1-1/2 Yrs Required and Required Minimum Experience: Minimum 1 year Laboratory experience Required Required Minimum Skills: Computer/data entry experience.
