Overview The Surgical Technologist provides clinical support in the Digestive Health Center. As a member of the endoscopy team, the Surgical Technologist assists with patient care activities, obtains specimens, assists physician with instruments and setting up and tearing down room between cases. Role includes reprocessing of endoscopes and accessory instruments and resource for technical equipment within the department. Overview Position Highlights: R6 Oncology Number of beds on unit: 16 Patient population (age, diagnosis, specifics about unit): The Oncology Unit is a 16-bed unit specializing in the care of acutely ill Oncology/Hematology patients, with diagnosis-related to acute and/or chronic illnesses, including but not limited to Oncology/hematology diseases.
