This role is critical in maintaining the high standards of our manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet the necessary quality standards and regulations. This is a permanent position, offering the opportunity to make a significant impact on our business, and to work with a dedicated team of professionals in a fast-paced, rewarding environment. Responsibilities: The Quality Assurance Manager will: 1. Lead and manage all aspects of our quality assurance program, including continuous improvement, building systems, and quality control. 2. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory bodies including FDA, USDA, and AAFCO. 3. Understand and manage customer requirements and expectations. 4. Conduct regular audits and regulatory inspections, ensuring all necessary actions are taken to maintain our SQF certification. 5. Oversee HACCP, food safety plans, environmental monitoring, and finished product testing. 6. Partner with R&D and the supply chain to ensure quality is maintained at all stages of the product lifecycle. 7. Lead investigations into any quality issues, conducting root cause analysis, implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and tracking their effectiveness. 8. Foster a culture of accountability and data-driven decision making. 9. Act as the SQF practitioner for the company, ensuring all SQF systems and processes are maintained and improved. 10. Ensure all activities are performed in compliance with GFSI. Qualifications: The successful candidate will have: 1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry. 2. Extensive knowledge and experience with continuous improvement, building systems, and quality control. 3. Proven experience in dealing with regulatory bodies such as FDA, USDA, and AAFCO. 4. Experience in conducting audits and regulatory inspections. 5. Knowledge and experience in overseeing HACCP, food safety plans, environmental monitoring, and finished product testing. 6. Experience in partnering with R&D and supply chain to ensure product quality. 7. Proven ability to lead investigations, conduct root cause analysis, implement CAPA, and track their effectiveness. 8. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to foster a culture of accountability and data-driven decision making. 9. Certification as an SQF practitioner is a plus. 10. Experience in working with GFSI is a plus. 11. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team. 12. Strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues. 13. High level of attention to detail, with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
