(future post date, confidential, auto-renew, etc.) Max Diamond, FB Plat , CB, DEI, Featued Employer, Free Featured Job Executive Director – Vineland Housing Authority (Vineland, NJ) The Vineland Housing Authority (VHA) seeks a highly qualified Executive Director (ED) to lead and manage the Authority’s operating, capital fund budgets, and a portfolio of 1,241 combined RAD/Project-Based Voucher units, Tax Credit units, and a Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher program. The ideal candidate for this diverse portfolio will have a proven track record of strong management, organizational, and interpersonal skills. They must be well-versed in HUD rules, regulations, and operating procedures, with the ability to oversee all aspects of housing authority administration — from financial oversight to property management and redevelopment. This is a working Executive Director position — not a ceremonial or solely administrative role. The successful candidate will be expected to take an active, hands-on approach to daily operations, including direct involvement in problem-solving, project management, staff coordination, and resident and community engagement. The Executive Director will be visible, accessible, and actively engaged in ensuring the Authority’s success at every level. The ED will also lead VHA’s modernization and redevelopment efforts and will be responsible for identifying and pursuing non-HUD funding sources, grants, and other revenue streams to strengthen and expand VHA programs. The position requires a bachelor’s degree or advanced degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Public or Business Administration, Social Science, Community Development, Urban Planning, Finance, Real Estate Management, or other similar professional employment appropriate to the management of multi-family housing units or redevelopment projects. Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in affordable housing or community development, including at least 5 years in a senior management role. The successful candidate must secure the Public Housing Manager’s Certification from a bona fide Public Housing Manager Certification Program and complete the mandatory New Jersey Housing Authority Executive Director Training Program within 1½ years of hire, or other allowable period as authorized by the Board of Commissioners.
