Manage the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with corporate standards. Complete balance sheet reconciliations and oversee the general ledger, chart of accounts, and system-generated reporting. Lead, mentor, and develop a team including the Assistant Controller, Staff Accountant, Accounts Payable, and Payroll Associates. Deliver monthly results commentary, financial analysis, and ad hoc reporting to support decision-making. Conduct product costing analysis and review excess/obsolete inventory. Track and report on capital expenditure projects. Implement and strengthen internal controls, financial processes, and system efficiencies. Partner with leadership on ERP initiatives, process improvements, and special projects as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; coursework in Business, Finance, or related field preferred. CPA designation strongly preferred. Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting/financial analysis experience, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing environment. Demonstrated experience with ERP systems; hands-on experience with MS Dynamics Business Central highly desirable. Strong computer literacy with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, and proficiency in Word and Outlook. Proven ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and thrive in a deadline-driven environment. Experience with ERP implementations and driving process improvements. To operate various computer-based traffic management systems to manage traffic and incidents on roadways and improve traffic conditions. To monitor roadways via traffic surveillance cameras and detection systems. To monitor all traffic devices and computer equipment associated with the system. To maintain advanced knowledge on the operation of all traffic equipment, computers and software associated with the traffic systems. To become familiar with the roadways and to understand the purpose and location of traffic devices. To communicate with multiple agencies to coordinate resources for incidents that may affect regional travel. To perform other duties as assigned.
