Positive Atmosphere Above Market pay Vacation time Benefits 401k Match Job Details Job Details: We are seeking a passionate, detail-oriented, and highly experienced Permanent Senior Project Accountant to join our dynamic Accounting Finance team. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of Construction Accounting, Job Costing, Commercial Real Estate Accounting, Property Accounting, and Year End Close. Responsibilities: As a Senior Project Accountant, you will be responsible for: 1. Overseeing and managing all aspects of construction accounting, including job costing and property accounting for our commercial real estate projects. 2. Preparing and reviewing monthly project financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations. 3. Coordinating with project managers and other stakeholders to forecast and track project costs, revenues, and profitability. 4. Managing the year-end close process, including the preparation of audit schedules, financial statements, and tax returns. 5. Implementing and maintaining internal controls to ensure the integrity of financial data and protect company assets. 6. Providing financial analysis and guidance on project performance and strategic decisions. 7. Training and mentoring junior staff on accounting principles, company procedures, and software tools. 8. Collaborating with other departments and external auditors to resolve accounting issues and improve financial processes and systems. Qualifications: To be considered for this role, you must have: 1. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree or CPA certification is preferred. 2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in project accounting, preferably in the construction or commercial real estate industry. 3. Proven expertise in construction accounting, job costing, commercial real estate accounting, property accounting, and year-end close. 4. Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex financial data and make sound decisions. 5. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. 6. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. 7. Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization. 8.
