EWOC Guest Relations & Imaging Assistant (PRN)

PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION The purpose of the EWOC Guest Relations & Imaging Assistant is to greet and coordinate the efficient flow of customers at the Guest Reception area with hospitality and professionalism. Presents a desire to be of assistance to guests and associates with a service excellence attitude. This position is also responsible for scanning, distribution and storage of radiographs. Maintains all records as to the location of radiographs whether inside or outside the hospital. JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES Duty 1: Greets individuals, determines their needs, monitors and tracks traffic flow using excellent and timely communication skill. This would include but not limited to rounding in designated lobbies and working with Volunteer Services. Duty 2: Demonstrates good positive communication skills, able to communicate daily via telephone, fax, email to physicians, referring physicians, offices, patients and interdepartmental staff to ensure satisfaction of those we serve. Duty 3: Maintains a well-groomed appearance within guidelines determined in the BVHS Appearance Policy. Duty 4: Performs computer-based order entry functions for all supplies and requisitions received from user departments, as well as order entry for inventoried items kept in the storeroom to ensure timely receipt of supplies needed. Duty 5: Incoming supplies are to be received, inspected against the packing slip and put away in the Storeroom. Ensures that the correct product is received against the purchase order accurately and ensures that the correct departments receive their supplies in a timely manner. This includes relaying of discrepancies to purchasing personnel and/or accounting personnel, as appropriate. Duty 6: Coordinates and participates in activities related to the retrieval and distribution of x-ray images/films, CD burning, importing CDs ensuring adherence to procedures and policies Duty 7: Scans documents into PACS system assuring that all documents are accurately placed in the correct record. Duty 8: Puts the linens away for the building and coordinates the inventory needs of linen with Supervisor. Duty 9: Shows initiative. Tasks are completed before the end of shift and aids in the preparation for the next day. Uses time wisely, does not allow for unimportant interruptions. Able to multi-task, prioritize work, and complete it in a timely manner. Duty 10: Demonstrates knowledge of the department and management line of authority and follows proper lines of communication. Shows good problem-solving skills yet seeks guidance and direction as necessary. Duty 11: Assures confidentiality of patient information at all times as directed within regulations. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS High school graduate or GED equivalent BLS within 90 days of hire Data entry/PC experience Positive service-oriented interpersonal and communication skills required A valid driver's license is required (if you do not have a valid Ohio driver’s license you must obtain one within 30 days of your residency in the state). You must also meet BVHS's company fleet policy and insurance company requirements, and any other requirements that may be required to operate a vehicle. Moderate exposure in regard to universal precautions PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Medical Terminology PHYSICAL DEMANDS This position requires a full range of body motion with intermittent walking, lifting, bending, climbing, squatting, kneeling, twisting, sitting and standing. This position does require climbing and sitting for 2 hours per day. The associate must be able to lift 50 pounds. This position requires corrected vision and hearing in the normal range. This individual must have excellent eye-hand coordination.
