The ideal candidate will have a strong background in insurance coverage analysis, policy interpretation, and litigation involving first-party and third-party claims. This attorney will manage cases from inception through resolution, including coverage opinions, dispositive motions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials. Key Responsibilities: Analyze and interpret various insurance policies (CGL, professional liability, D&O, property, excess/umbrella, etc.) to provide coverage opinions and recommendations. Handle all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, motions, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation. Draft and argue dispositive motions in both state and federal court. Advise insurance carriers and corporate clients on coverage issues, potential exposure, and risk management. Represent clients in mediations, arbitrations, and court proceedings. Maintain strong client relationships and ensure timely communication regarding case status and strategy. Supervise and mentor junior attorneys and litigation support staff when necessary. Qualifications: J.D. from an accredited law school. Admission to practice in Massachusetts. 2 or more years of experience in insurance coverage and/or litigation (first-party property and/or liability coverage strongly preferred). Strong legal research, analytical, and writing skills. Proven ability to handle cases independently and manage multiple matters simultaneously. Exceptional oral advocacy and negotiation skills.
